Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• Wisdom is seeking Staff Software Engineers to join their tech team and contribute to the development of their initial technical products.
• The role involves building and enhancing software products using Node and React in Typescript, with a Postgres database, hosted in AWS.
• Responsibilities include working on both front- and backend code, designing database schemas, deploying cloud infrastructure, and creating integrations with dental insurance carriers and practice management systems.
• The position is fully remote, reporting to the Head of Engineering, Thomas Huston, and is open to candidates anywhere in the US.
• The role offers the opportunity to tackle challenging problems, collaborate with dental billers and clients, and shape the engineering team's culture and best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of software engineering development experience.
• Proficiency in a web stack language (Typescript/Javascript, Python, C#) with a willingness to work in Typescript.
• Experience in designing and scaling databases like Postgres.
• Proficiency in building infrastructure on cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong product mindset, user empathy, autonomy, ownership, and curiosity.
• Ability to work collaboratively, admit mistakes, and learn from them.
