Jobgether is seeking a Staff Software Engineer specializing in AI for a remote position in the United States.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining AI-powered applications that address high-impact challenges for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities include integrating commercial and open-source LLM APIs, developing RAG pipelines, and applying advanced AI techniques to enhance application performance.
The engineer will mentor junior engineers, optimize AI workflows, and improve internal tooling while ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across AI-driven products.
Key accountabilities include building and maintaining AI-powered enterprise applications, implementing RAG pipelines, collaborating with product managers and designers, developing robust backend services, enhancing internal AI developer tools, establishing best practices for AI engineering, and troubleshooting complex issues.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with at least 3+ years of applied AI/ML experience.
Proven experience in integrating commercial LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic into modern applications is essential.
A deep understanding of AI model evaluation, prompt engineering, and RAG techniques is required.
Strong knowledge of cloud-native application development using serverless technologies like API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB is necessary.
Familiarity with AI agent frameworks, evaluation methodologies, and benchmarking tools is expected.
Hands-on experience with RAG-based systems, vector databases, and AI evaluation pipelines is required.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential for working in cross-functional teams.
