Description:
The Staff Software Engineer - Analytics at Contentful will lead the development of an evolving Analytics product.
This role requires a technical leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to tackle complex challenges and guide the engineering team toward product-market fit.
Responsibilities include defining and driving the architecture of the analytics platform, ensuring seamless integration, and optimizing performance to handle billions of events daily.
The engineer will mentor team members, collaborate with senior leadership, and engage directly with customers to align product vision with technical feasibility.
The position involves hands-on engineering, contributing code, designing data pipelines, and implementing APIs for high-traffic data products.
The engineer will also deploy and operate statistical and machine learning models in production.
Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive experience in building and scaling data-intensive products, particularly under high-volume workloads.
A strong background in crafting end-to-end system architectures and overseeing their implementation is essential.
Proficiency in server-side TypeScript and experience designing APIs for enterprise-grade applications are required.
Cloud-native experience, particularly with GCP and the Cloudflare Workers Platform, is a significant advantage.
Candidates should possess strong collaboration skills and a customer-centric approach, with excellent English communication abilities.
Ideally, applicants will have experience with high-throughput analytics platforms and a proven track record in B2B enterprise product environments.
