Dune is a collaborative multi-chain analytics platform focused on making crypto data accessible to developers, analysts, and investors.
The company is composed of approximately 50 employees working across Europe and eastern US timezones.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision and architecture of Dune’s applications.
You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to develop and launch features that enhance user interactions on Dune.
The application is built using Typescript, Next.js on the client side, and NodeJS on the server side via GraphQL, hosted on Vercel and AWS.
Your role will involve optimizing application performance, enhancing content browsing experiences, and mentoring junior engineers.
You will write high-quality, well-tested TypeScript code focusing on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
The team values thinking and designing before coding, and champions best practices in software development.

Requirements:

You must have proven experience as a back-end engineer with a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.
A demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive software development cycles from inception to deployment is required.
Extensive experience with cloud-based infrastructure management, specifically AWS and Kubernetes, is necessary.
You should have experience in building scalable, high-performance web applications.
Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL is essential, along with familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js.
Experience in optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability is required.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills are necessary, especially in a fully distributed team environment.
An entrepreneurial spirit, strong problem-solving skills, and a hands-on approach to software development are important traits for this role.
