Description:

HackerOne is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their team, focusing on the Automated Scanning initiative that integrates vulnerability data with AI.
The role involves hands-on coding and leading architectural discussions to shape the future of the HackerOne platform.
By day 30, the engineer is expected to have collaborated with fellow engineers, started understanding the project domain, and engaged in coding.
By day 90, the engineer should demonstrate business impact and technical contributions, gaining trust within the team.
Long-term responsibilities include leading projects, developing proofs of concept, building and maintaining high-performance features, collaborating across teams, and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of general Software Engineering experience.
Proficiency in dynamically typed languages such as JavaScript, Objective-C, PHP, Python, or Ruby is required, with a preference for Ruby and PHP.
Practical SQL experience of 3+ years is necessary, preferably with PostgreSQL.
Experience with React JS or similar libraries is required.
Documented experience leading technical projects through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle is essential.
Candidates must be based remotely in Canada or the US and excel in a remote work environment.

Compensation ranges from $160K to $211K depending on the tier, with equity offered.
