The Staff Autonomy Evaluation Engineer will lead projects that address challenges faced by autonomous vehicles (AVs) on urban roads.
Responsibilities include defining success criteria, driving evaluation strategies, ensuring validation of AV performance, streamlining testing processes, mentoring data scientists, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements:
A Master's or PhD degree or equivalent experience in Robotics, Transportation, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of post-academic experience in evaluating large models, data science, machine learning, or a closely related field.
A strong software engineering foundation and proficiency in production-environment coding and best practices are necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and Python is required.
Experience in designing, training, and analyzing machine learning models for big data is essential.
Candidates should have solid statistical foundations and familiarity with hypothesis testing and common biases in data.
Experience in designing and maintaining automated reporting tools is required.
A creative and passionate approach to problem-solving is necessary.
A track record of leading multi-functional initiatives and collaborating with engineering and product teams is essential.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience mentoring other data scientists.
Bonus points for experience in the autonomous driving industry and proficiency in C++.
