The Staff Software Engineer will be a leader on the engineering team, setting a high bar for quality and mentoring others.
The web stack primarily consists of Elixir (Phoenix and LiveView) with Postgres for data storage.
Responsibilities include architecting and developing new features and products in the Elixir codebase, working closely with product management, presenting innovative solutions to senior leadership, leading technical solutions for complex projects, writing high-quality tested code, participating in code reviews, mentoring team members, and proactively identifying technical roadblocks.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
Experience in designing, building, and maintaining production services at scale is required.
Candidates should write high-quality, reliable code and take ownership of the systems they work on.
Experience in developing solutions to ambiguous problems is necessary.
A solid understanding of web security fundamentals is required.
Candidates should have a desire to mentor and uplift other team members.
A genuine excitement about River's mission is essential.

The position offers a 100% remote option available within the Americas and Europe.
The salary range is between $200,000 - $250,000 based on skills and experience.
