As a Staff Engineer, you will develop products and features in a Ruby on Rails environment with a Typescript front-end and PostgreSQL database.
You will work on complex engineering problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Dev, Product, and QA.
Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, setting engineering standards, leading pair programming sessions, and mentoring junior engineers.
You will also drive advanced design tasks, develop technical roadmaps, and participate in daily stand-ups and weekly retrospectives.

Requirements:

You must have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience coding with Ruby on Rails is required.
Strong understanding of SQL and RDBMS is necessary, along with exposure to NoSQL.
Experience in designing and implementing scalable, API-first systems is essential.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and big data engineering on AWS/DataBricks is a plus.
You should be able to articulate the value of technical investments and operate with minimal technical guidance.
Experience in mentoring engineers is required.
You must be comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and be a fast learner.
