Remote Staff Software Engineer Back-end Focus

Description:

• As a Staff Software Engineer - Back End Focus at Kin, you will be responsible for developing products and features that drive Kin's operations.
• The tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, Python, Typescript, and PostgreSQL, with the application of Scrum methodologies.
• You will work on complex engineering problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.
• Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, setting engineering standards, leading pair programming sessions, and driving technical roadmaps.
• You will participate in daily stands, weekly retros, and collaborate with Product and PMO teams.

Requirements:

• Must have experience as a technical lead for a team and a track record of shipping large software applications.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Python, or Typescript, with experience in architectural planning and design.
• Ability to articulate the value of technical investments, operate independently, and mentor engineers.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like React, Vue, or Angular and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Must be a fast learner, located in Central or Eastern US time zones (CDT & EDT), and not require employment visa sponsorship.
