Remote Staff Software Engineer, Backend

Description:

• TIDAL, a streaming platform founded by artists, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Membership platform.
• The Subscription engineering team focuses on customer acquisition, retention, and payments, collaborating closely with other teams at TIDAL and BLOCK.
• The role involves leading a team of backend Java engineers, driving improvements to TIDAL's memberships platform, and mentoring team members.
• Responsibilities include designing and building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems, leading complex projects, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 8+ years of experience in designing and shipping scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• 2+ years of experience leading projects.
• Proficiency in Java frameworks, Spring Boot, AWS, Docker, and cloud service providers.
• Experience managing demanding stakeholders and partner relationships.
• Preferred skills include frontend development using modern JS frameworks, CICD tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker, and familiarity with tools like DataDog, Databricks, and Terraform.
