Description:

Gretel is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical design and development of software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of products.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and drive projects to completion.
Responsibilities include scaling models to large datasets, deploying the stack in customer environments, and building core reusable components.
The Staff Software Engineer will contribute code, tests, and application architecture, utilizing Python, Go, Java, RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools.
They will own customer and developer happiness, coordinate with leads to prioritize projects, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.

Requirements:

Minimum 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Java.
Expertise in designing and implementing serverless and microservice architectures using cloud-native technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Track record of delivering technical excellence on complex software projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple communication channels asynchronously.

Competitive compensation: $210,000-$230,000 USD.
