Remote Staff Software Engineer-Backend

Description:

• Hinge Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer-Backend to contribute to the team's success by architecting and implementing end-to-end solutions, well-tested performant APIs, and data models.
• The ideal candidate will collaborate with teammates to tackle challenging features, deliver foundational architecture improvements, and maintain a high standard through thoughtful code reviews.
• The production systems rely on technologies such as Typescript, NestJS, GraphQL, Docker, Rails, React Native, React, Node.js, Aptible, AWS, Postgres, Redis, Apollo, and Redux.
• The role involves working collaboratively with teammates, sharing domain expertise, tackling team challenges, proposing significant platform-wide upgrades, and contributing to project planning.
• The position requires being in the office 3 days a week in a hybrid work model.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in TypeScript, Nestjs, GraphQL, Node.js, relational databases, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Redis, and workflow trunk-based CI/CD.
• Beneficial to have at least 1+ year of experience with Rails, Postgres, and Redux.
• Over 2 years of experience in microservice-based architecture, API development, and scalable backend systems.
• Experienced in debugging complex issues, designing new features, and mentoring junior team members.
• Available for on-call support and late evening calls with the US team members.
