They are looking for a staff software engineer to join their School Operations team, focusing on improving the product experience for educators by simplifying routine tasks and enhancing engagement with students.
The role involves leading projects, collaborating with product and design teams, ensuring quality, scalability, security, and performance, designing new software systems, sharing knowledge, and mentoring the engineering team.
Qualifications include 5+ years of professional experience, proficiency in Ruby on Rails, expertise in automated testing and Git, experience with 3rd party integrations and AWS, strong communication skills, and familiarity with modern web technologies.

Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience, preferably in fast-paced early- or mid-stage startups.
Proficiency in contributing to and designing APIs using Ruby on Rails or similar technologies.
Expertise in writing automated tests (unit/integration/functional) and using Git.
Experience with 3rd party integrations, variation testing, and codebase sizes and ages.
Proficiency with AWS or other cloud platforms, architecting distributed systems, and strong communication skills.
Experience with microservice or service-oriented architectures, modern webapps like React.js, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) preferred.
