As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the technical design and development of software solutions, mentor other engineers, and ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of software products.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and drive projects to completion.
Key projects include scaling various models to large datasets, ensuring deployability in customer environments, and building core reusable components like permissions management and logging.
You will contribute code, tests, and application/data/systems architecture while utilizing programming languages such as Python, Go, and Java, along with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools.
You will be responsible for customer and developer satisfaction for your products in production and will work to build operational transparency and resiliency.
Coordination with engineering and product leads will be necessary to define, prioritize, and task projects that align with business objectives.
You will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to foster team growth.

Requirements:

A minimum of 8+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on backend development, is required.
Strong coding skills in Python, Go, or Java are essential.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing serverless and microservice architectures using cloud-native technologies is necessary.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Demonstrated experience in working on complex software projects with a track record of delivering technical excellence is expected.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
The ability to effectively manage multiple communication channels asynchronously is necessary.

Employee compensation will be determined based on interview performance, experience level, specialization of skills, and market rate.
The salary range for the Staff Software Engineer position is $210,000-$230,000 USD.
During the offer discussion, the recruiter will review the finalized base salary, bonus (if applicable), benefits, and stock options.
