Description:
Huntress is seeking a highly motivated Staff Software Engineer to join the Business Platform team.
The role involves leading a feature delivery team in the design, development, and release of software features for the Huntress Security Platform.
Responsibilities include managing technical aspects of feature development, focusing on UX/UI and API work.
The engineer will lead the development of high-quality software, setting standards for team excellence.
The position requires converting acceptance criteria into functional workflows and software designs.
The engineer will act as a technical thought leader, providing architectural and design direction.
Responsibilities also include ensuring code quality through reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and promoting team collaboration.
The role requires active engagement with the team and leading by example.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience developing complex software products.
A minimum of 6+ years of programming experience in Ruby on Rails is required.
Experience with Javascript, AWS Cloud Environments, and Linux-based infrastructure is necessary.
Familiarity with databases such as Postgres is essential.
Strong technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills are required.
Candidates should be able to quickly grasp new tools and technologies.
The ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for coordinating between teams.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to decompose high-level requirements into actionable work units and lead the entire software development life cycle (SDLC).
