Remote Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Growth

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer will be part of the Temporal Cloud Growth Team, focusing on accelerating customer adoption and consumption of Temporal Cloud.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing aspects of the Cloud Customer Lifecycle and Experience, monitoring system performance, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to team growth.
• The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams, as well as other engineering teams.
• The Staff Software Engineer will work on deploying Temporal Nexus, the next-generation Durable API Gateway/Service Marketplace.
• The position requires experience in globally distributed cloud services platforms, coding proficiency in languages like Go, Java/Scala, Python, etc., and knowledge of technologies such as Postgres, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, SQL, etc.
• Good communication skills, the ability to operate in a 24x7 services environment, and a desire to make an impact in a collaborative team setting are essential.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in developing globally distributed cloud services platforms.
• 6+ years of coding experience in languages like Go, Java/Scala, Python, etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of technologies such as Postgres, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, SQL, etc.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in small, collaborative teams.
• Experience in operating in a 24x7 services environment, ideally in a production DevOps setting.
