Description:

Fortanix is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Systems Security) to join their EMEA team, ideally located in Eindhoven, Netherlands, with a remote option available.
The role requires at least 3 years of experience in Confidential Computing and involves providing strategic direction and hands-on expertise in developing tools and SDKs for confidential computing platforms.
Responsibilities include being a subject matter expert on confidential computing environments, supporting software development on these platforms, enabling remote attestation using low-level platform primitives, and providing technical direction and leadership.
The engineer will design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet security and performance standards, stay current with emerging technologies, and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Additional duties include conducting code reviews, ensuring best practices in software development, and driving the adoption of new tools and methodologies to improve development efficiency and product quality.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3 years of professional experience in Confidential Computing technology, such as Intel SGX, AMD SEV-SNP, or Intel TDX.
A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with C/C++, Rust, and x86 or ARM assembly, along with proficiency in another high-level language, is required.
A PhD in Computer Security or Computer Systems, or equivalent experience, is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively are essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
Contributions to open-source projects are preferred.
