Description:

  • Jobber is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Consumer Intake team to help bridge the gap between Jobber’s customers and their customers by building and iterating on impactful features like Online Booking and marketing tools.
  • The role involves working with Product and Design to shape the team’s roadmap, supporting fellow engineers in delivering value early and often, and spearheading larger initiatives.
  • Responsibilities include participating in code review and testing, driving engineering solutions with reusable code, facilitating group discussions, mentoring junior teammates, and advocating for best practices.
  • The position requires a full-stack software engineering experience, proven track record of building scalable software, leadership experience, strong collaboration and communication skills, software design and architecture skills, and enthusiasm for delivering value to customers.
  • Successful candidates should have the ability to ask questions, seek new information, remain open to new ideas, take initiative, write automated tests, navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and have a passion for learning and growth.
  • Preferred qualifications include knowledge or experience with React/TypeScript, building GraphQL systems, cloud infrastructure, and integrating third-party products.
  • The development stack includes React, React Native, TypeScript, GraphQL API layer, and Ruby on Rails on AWS.
