Description:
The Staff Software Engineer (Contact Center Pro) position is a remote role based in the United States.
You will lead the technical direction and vision for a squad of engineers, driving both short-term and long-term strategies to achieve high-impact outcomes.
This role involves making key technical decisions and guiding the team in building and scaling products.
You will mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and ensure adherence to best practices in coding and design.
Responsibilities include owning and defining the technical vision of your engineering squad, driving major technical decisions, and fostering a collaborative environment.
You will provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, conduct regular technical design and code reviews, and share knowledge through tech talks and blog posts.
Effective communication across teams is essential, collaborating with product managers, customers, partners, and other leadership.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in senior engineering roles, focusing on API design, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers.
A minimum of 15+ years of industry experience in software development and engineering leadership is required.
Expertise in the Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or similar) is essential.
Strong proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, and TypeScript is required, with experience in React being a plus.
Proficiency in version control systems like Git, along with a solid understanding of unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring, is necessary.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills are required.
A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory.
