Description:

  • The Staff Software Engineer (Contact Center Pro) position is a remote role based in the United States.
  • You will lead the technical direction and vision for a squad of engineers, driving both short-term and long-term strategies to achieve high-impact outcomes.
  • This role involves making key technical decisions and guiding the team in building and scaling products.
  • You will mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and ensure adherence to best practices in coding and design.
  • Responsibilities include owning and defining the technical vision of your engineering squad, driving major technical decisions, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • You will provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, conduct regular technical design and code reviews, and share knowledge through tech talks and blog posts.
  • Effective communication across teams is essential, collaborating with product managers, customers, partners, and other leadership.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in senior engineering roles, focusing on API design, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers.
  • A minimum of 15+ years of industry experience in software development and engineering leadership is required.
  • Expertise in the Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or similar) is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, and TypeScript is required, with experience in React being a plus.
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git, along with a solid understanding of unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring, is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills are required.
  • A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory.
