Description:

Crunchyroll is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Content Delivery to enhance user experiences across multiple platforms.
The role involves collaborating with engineers, product managers, and project managers to implement new features and improve service scalability through planning and load testing.
Responsibilities include improving platform availability via monitoring, performance reporting, and error reporting, as well as optimizing server response times by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks.
The engineer will consider system security in design decisions and work with operations to evaluate new infrastructure.
The position can be based in one of Crunchyroll's offices or fully remote within the United States and reports to the Engineering Manager, Content Delivery.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 12+ years of experience in developing and leading high-priority initiatives while ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting business expectations.
A background in the media and entertainment space with experience in building scalable user experiences, particularly for streaming video, is required.
Proficiency in Golang is essential.
Applicants should understand cloud and system components, be able to profile bottlenecks, and be eager to redesign and re-architect systems.
Experience in collaborating with engineering teams to resolve delivery blockers and provide business-focused solutions is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to code and build quality, scalable software and set documentation standards for the organization.
Experience in building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure is required.
The ability to lead investigations into critical business process failures while effectively communicating with key partners is essential.
