The Staff Software Engineer will join the Core Enablement Team, which focuses on identifying and solving hidden problems in the software ecosystem to enable other teams to build reliable and performant shipping APIs.
Responsibilities include leading the design and deployment of scalable software services, promoting microservices, enhancing the CI/CD pipeline, owning system performance, architecting high-performance database schemas, leading system design and refactoring, participating in peer reviews and testing, collaborating with business teams, providing on-call support, championing testing and automation best practices, and engaging in business development.

Requirements:

Proven experience leading high-impact projects with cross-functional teams and setting architectural direction, with the ability to influence technical strategy across the organization.
Extensive experience in designing, optimizing, and implementing scalable APIs, services, and applications, with a deep understanding of complex system architectures, including microservices and container-based designs.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a track record of mentoring engineering talent and clearly articulating complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
Ability to anticipate customer needs and drive innovation, implementing solutions that align with both short-term and long-term goals.
Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java, and experience with MVC frameworks like Django, .NET, or Spring, focusing on performance optimization and technology selection.
Skilled in breaking down complex problems, anticipating challenges, and leading root cause analysis, with a proactive approach to addressing impediments.
Commitment to high standards of technical excellence and continuous improvement, including setting best practices within teams.
An advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with advanced English fluency and strong communication skills for a global team.
