Description:

The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for leading the Credential Management team at Mozilla, focusing on providing an easy, intuitive, reliable, and seamless experience for managing passwords, payment methods, and addresses within the Firefox browser.
They will collaborate with various teams across Product, UX, Design, Engineering, QA, Localization, Ops, and Support to build and maintain core Credential Management features within Firefox.
The role involves coordinating with partners across Desktop, Android, iOS, and Services teams to ensure a consistent cross-platform Credential Management experience.
Responsibilities include designing and delivering long-term projects impacting multiple teams, ensuring high-quality software delivery, participating in defining auto-fill web standards, and resolving product issues affecting users.
The Staff Software Engineer will mentor junior engineers, work on complex full-stack systems at scale, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic Firefox objectives.

Requirements:

7+ years of software engineering experience.
Ability to lead and ship complex software projects successfully.
Experience in working on complex full-stack systems at scale.
Proficiency in JavaScript; knowledge of C++ and/or Rust is a bonus.
Familiarity with core web technologies like HTML, DOM, and Origins.
Working experience with SQL.
Initiative-taking ability in a loosely structured environment.
Strong communication skills for distributed and cross-functional team collaboration.
