Remote Staff Software Engineer, Data Forwarding (Golang)

Description:

• Zscaler is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join their team, focusing on creating a new product within a startup environment.
• The role involves engaging in the development of state-of-the-art Gen AI technology.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing traffic forwarding and processing capabilities that can efficiently handle large volumes of data.
• The position reports directly to the VP of the group and is open to remote options, although preference is given to candidates in the San Jose, CA office.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing high-volume data forwarding solutions in network-oriented applications, such as web security proxies and API gateways that support HTTP(s) and Websockets.
• Proficiency in Golang is required.
• A strong foundation in object-oriented programming and the ability to apply various design patterns is essential.
• Preferred qualifications include a BS or MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in designing high-performance and low-latency applications utilizing multi-threading and event-driven architectures is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies in AWS, using Kubernetes and micro-services for application deployment and scaling, is preferred.
• Experience in cloud-based networking solutions and small company/startup experience is also advantageous.
