Description:
Reddit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Data Infrastructure team in New York City, NY.
The role involves solving large scale batch and streaming data challenges.
The Data Infrastructure team ingests over 100 billion analytics events daily into a data warehouse that handles over 55,000 queries each day.
The engineer will lead the design and creation of the Snapshot product to deliver high-quality data to partners.
Responsibilities include contributing to the long-term strategy of the team, refining data infrastructure technologies for real-time processing, owning tools for data ingestion and storage, and mentoring other engineers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of coding experience in a production setting, writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate with stakeholders in engineering, data science, machine learning, and product.
Experience with programming languages such as Scala, Go, or Java is necessary.
A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
Candidates should have experience with Terraform, Helm, Kafka, CDC, Airflow, Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
