Description:
Reddit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its Data Infrastructure team to tackle large-scale batch and streaming data challenges.
The role involves leading the design and creation of the Snapshot product to deliver high-quality data to partners.
The engineer will collaborate with various teams to develop and execute strategies ensuring data quality and consistency at scale.
Daily responsibilities include contributing to the long-term strategy of the team, maintaining data infrastructure technologies for real-time processing, owning tools for data ingestion and storage, and mentoring other engineers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of coding experience in a production environment, writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate with stakeholders in engineering, data science, machine learning, and product.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Go, or Java is necessary.
A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
Experience with tools and technologies such as Terraform, Helm, Kafka, CDC, Airflow, Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD is essential.
