Description:

  • Reddit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Data Infrastructure team to tackle large-scale batch and streaming data challenges.
  • The role involves working with a team and partner teams like machine learning and Ads to enhance scalable, fault-tolerant, self-serve systems.
  • Responsibilities include refining and maintaining data infrastructure technologies, owning the data pipeline for 100B+ daily events, and mentoring other engineers.
  • The position requires contributing to the long-term strategy, ensuring high data quality, and shaping the data culture across Reddit.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of coding experience in a production setting with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders in engineering, data science, machine learning, and product.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Scala, Python, Go, or Java.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with tools such as Terraform, Helm, Flink, Airflow, Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
