Description:

  • Reddit, a community of communities, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Data Infrastructure team.
  • The role involves solving large-scale batch and streaming data challenges.
  • Reddit aims to provide community and belonging to everyone globally through authentic conversations and diverse interests.
  • The Data Infrastructure team handles over 100B analytics events daily and manages a data warehouse with 55,000+ daily queries.
  • The Staff Engineer will work on scalable, fault-tolerant systems, ensuring high data quality and shaping Reddit's data culture.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of coding experience in a production setting with clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Scala, Python, Go, or Java.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience with tools like Terraform, Helm, Flink, Airflow, Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
