Description:
Reddit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Data Infrastructure/Data Products team in Seattle, WA.
The role involves solving large-scale batch and streaming data challenges within Reddit's community of communities.
The team manages over 100B analytics events daily, ingesting data into a data warehouse with 55,000+ daily queries.
Responsibilities include leading the design of the Snapshot product for delivering high-quality data, ensuring data quality and consistency at scale, and refining data infrastructure technologies.
The position also involves mentoring engineers, collaborating with various teams, and contributing to the long-term strategy of the organization.
Requirements:
7+ years of coding experience in a production setting with clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders in engineering, data science, machine learning, and product.
Proficiency in programming languages like Scala, Go, or Java.
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
Experience with tools such as Terraform, Helm, Kafka, CDC, Airflow, Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
