Remote Staff Software Engineer (Data & Reporting)

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for building scalable foundational systems and data pipelines to support financial reporting at Affirm.
• Collaborate with Product and Accounting teams to design robust reporting and reconciliation systems for accurate and timely data delivery.
• Take an active role in collaborating on the roadmap, designing technical solutions, and driving cross-team initiatives.
• Mentor engineers to improve their designs, code quality, and testing.
• Partner with a diverse set of engineering teams to build financial products and perform financial transactions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong sense of ownership and proven track record in driving large cross-functional technical programs.
• Fluency in back end development, event processing, and batch processing.
• Prior experience in designing, building, launching, and maintaining consumer scale products.
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Python, Spark, Airflow, AWS, and Snowflake is a plus.
