Description:

  • As a Staff Software Engineer on the Developer Productivity team, you will lead projects aimed at improving the engineering team's pace of iteration, reliability of deployments, completeness of testing, safety of system operations, and minimizing toil and overhead.
  • You will be responsible for leading engineering projects from start to finish, defining and building standard abstractions for service operation, deployment, and observability, and unifying CI/CD infrastructure across the company.
  • The role involves investigating common challenges across engineering teams and building simple tools to facilitate best practices.

Requirements:

  • You must have 8+ years of software engineering work experience.
  • Experience working with fully remote teams is required.
  • You should have demonstrated experience partnering with multiple teams on large-scope projects.
  • You must have experience presenting technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • You should have a proven track record of authoring and maintaining excellent organization-wide documentation.
  • Independence in project management around ambiguous problems is necessary.
  • Strong experience with frontend technologies using React, backend technologies using Python Web Frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc.), data management systems (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, etc.), and cloud deployment using Kubernetes (with observability) is required.
  • Prior management experience is a plus.
