Advanced Agrilytics is seeking a talented and motivated Staff Software Engineer to join the Engineering team.
The role involves developing, refining, and implementing solutions that scale and perform at the highest level.
You will be critical in mentoring team members, influencing architecture, and contributing to key projects across the organization.
Responsibilities include partnering with the technical lead to design and architect key systems, writing, testing, and reviewing high-quality code, and ensuring best practices are followed.
You will guide and mentor mid-level engineers, helping them grow and develop their technical skills.
Collaboration with engineers, product managers, and designers is essential to deliver high-quality features and ensure alignment with the company’s technical and business goals.
You will take ownership of complex issues within the codebase, offering solutions and improvements that impact long-term system performance and scalability.
Advocating for improvements in code quality, testing, and engineering processes is part of the role, along with contributing to and helping enforce high engineering standards across the team.
Staying current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices is expected, along with contributing innovative ideas that improve the product and engineering processes.

Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience is required.
Strong experience with Node.js and React, along with deep knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+) is essential.
Experience with spatial data and GIS technologies, such as mapping, geospatial analysis, and location-based services is necessary.
Proficiency in other programming languages, such as Python, is preferred.
Experience in designing scalable, distributed systems is essential.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS), microservices, and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) is required.
Proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-driven environment and partner with cross-functional teams is necessary.
A passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge to strengthen the team is important.
Adeptness at troubleshooting and optimizing code for performance, scalability, and resilience is required.
