Description:

AtoB is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help modernize the payments infrastructure for the trucking and logistics industry.
The role involves scoping and leading large, often ambiguous technical projects, laying the groundwork for early-stage products to iteratively evolve and scale.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining APIs, user-facing experiences, services, and systems.
The engineer will also debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Effective tradeoffs must be made between business priorities, user experience, and reliability.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of professional experience building B2B or B2C SaaS products.
Experience with backend technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Python, and/or NodeJS is required.
Proficiency in modern frontend technologies, particularly React, along with a strong understanding of JavaScript and CSS fundamentals is necessary.
Applicants should have experience designing systems with multiple interacting elements.
The ability to balance immediate and long-term needs when working on new projects is essential.
A strong sense of ownership over work and a focus on business impact are crucial.
Candidates should possess a strong desire to learn and grow while maintaining high standards for themselves and their teammates.
Preference will be given to candidates located in the Bay Area, CA or New York, NY.
