The position of Staff Software Engineer is fully remote, allowing for maximum flexibility and access to top talent.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a technical leader on the engineering team, developing technical plans based on strategic initiatives and shaping project work.
You will guide the team in their approach to project work, help develop solutions to complex problems, and deliver well-tested code.
The role includes providing actionable feedback to improve team performance, onboarding new hires, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 7+ years of experience developing software in a production environment.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a staff engineer or technical lead role is required.
Production experience with Node.js and Typescript is essential.
Proven experience in backend systems, designing RESTful APIs, and codifying business logic on top of data stores is necessary.
Exceptional communication skills, particularly in Slack and technical documents, are required.
Experience in product development where the candidate was a key decision maker is preferred.
Deep expertise in system architecture and design is necessary.
Proven success in operational excellence and cross-functional leadership and collaboration experience is required.
Familiarity with cloud environments, especially the Google Cloud stack, is a plus.
