Remote Staff Software Engineer

• The Staff Software Engineer will join the Innovation team to prototype Spatial Web technologies and AI applications.
• Responsibilities include migrating research concepts into production software, evolving the agentic platform for scalability, and rapidly prototyping systems for live demonstrations.
• The engineer will work closely with partners to implement solutions on the Genius Platform and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements.
• The role involves leading technical discussions, mentoring team members, and participating in code reviews to ensure coding standards are met.
• The engineer will also develop technical documentation and engage in knowledge sharing sessions.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in enterprise-scale applications.
• Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language, such as Python, Rust, or Node.js, is required.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is necessary.
• Familiarity with pub/sub technologies like RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Redis is essential.
• A strong understanding of web technologies and standards, including REST/CRUD, HTTP, DNS, and web security, is required.
• Candidates should have experience with DevOps and security practices, as well as API design and development.
• Experience with IoT and edge computing technologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies is necessary.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.
• Understanding of core machine learning and AI concepts, including generative models and active inference, is important.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a passion for innovation.
