Description:
The Staff Software Engineer (Front-end) will be part of the Outreach Client Architecture (OrCA) Team, which aims to facilitate the creation and delivery of high-quality, delightful, and consistent experiences.
The team focuses on ensuring that each experience is reliable, performant, accessible, instrumentable, and scalable.
The role involves close collaboration with platform designers and product managers to shape the future of the Outreach experience.
The engineer will have exposure to front-end application deployments and platform-level capabilities.
Responsibilities include owning features from design to implementation and interacting with other teams.
The position offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies and microservice architecture at Outreach.
Daily tasks will include partnering with product managers, designers, and analysts to understand platform needs and build appropriate solutions.
The engineer will work with front-end platform core components like the Design system and core packages that power Outreach experiences.
The role involves setting direction for the team and guiding the engineering vision.
The engineer will find quick ways to prototype and test solutions to large problems and look for the best return on investment for pain points.
The position is highly visible within Outreach’s product, impacting both customers and the organization.
The engineer will actively participate in improving team and company culture through mentorship, interviewing, and new initiatives.
The role includes owning relationships with other engineering teams and collaborating with various functions within Outreach.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of professional software development experience.
A proven track record of developing and shipping large-scale web applications is required, with proficiency in web technologies such as Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, and React (or a similar framework).
Optional experience with cloud-based service applications and shipping production-quality code in Java, Go, or C++ is preferred.
Familiarity with build tools related to bundling, GraphQL, and runners is necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate senior technical leadership experience at a company with a strong engineering culture.
Strong knowledge of shipping impactful and complex software projects is essential.
The ability to set technical and cultural standards for engineers is required.
