Description:

Tangelo is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Experience Team within the Platform Department, focusing on building a unified experience for members.
The role involves collaborating with engineers, researchers, designers, and product professionals to design and implement key components of the product and platform.
Responsibilities include leading the technical planning, design, and requirements process for customer experience, reviewing code for correctness and security, and providing mentorship to junior team members.
The engineer will work on improving the performance, maintainability, and operations of the codebase, drive operational excellence through better monitoring and alerting, and demonstrate sound business judgment to influence decisions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, particularly in building front-end applications.
Strong practical coding skills in React or similar front-end frameworks/technologies are required, along with expertise in service-oriented architectures.
A customer-first mindset is essential, ensuring that the end-user is prioritized in every decision.
Experience in product development with a focus on creating robust, scalable, accessible, and user-friendly solutions is necessary.
Candidates should have 0-to-1 experience, with a strong inclination toward quick shipping, iterative learning, and maintaining high quality.
Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and work seamlessly with cross-functional teams is required.
Preferred skills include experience with REST or GRPC APIs, deployment, monitoring, and alerting of systems, and familiarity with HIPAA-compliant environments.
