Remote Staff Software Engineer, Front-End Focus

Description:

• As a Staff Software Engineer with a front-end focus at Kin, you will play a crucial role in leading and defining full-stack architecture, writing clean and efficient code in Ruby and Typescript, and setting high standards for the Engineering team.
• Your responsibilities will include mentoring and leading multiple scrum teams towards a clear architectural vision, collaborating with Design, Product, and other developers to implement new features, and contributing to the continual improvement of the code base through refactoring and test writing.
• You will be expected to deliver applications that are fast, reliable, and scalable, both for public and internal use, and help Kin continue to scale and grow its systems and teams.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert proficiency in front-end methodologies and languages, specifically Typescript, Lit, and Angular.
• Experience in building and designing distributed, full-stack solutions.
• Proficiency in architectural planning, design, and documentation.
• Ability to articulate the value of technical investments to stakeholders and identify/mitigate technical risks.
• Capability to operate with minimal technical guidance, lead teams through execution, and mentor engineers at all levels.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complexity for better comprehension.
• Comfortable working in a high-growth startup environment and a fast learner ready to bring previous knowledge to the position.
