Remote Staff Software Engineer, Front-End Focus

Description:

• The Staff Software Engineer, Front-End Focus position at Kin involves being a subject matter expert in multiple technologies and playing a high-impact role.
• Responsibilities include understanding the business implications of technical decisions, mentoring and leading multiple scrum teams towards a clear architectural vision, and assisting in Kin's overall architectural strategy.
• Daily tasks include leading and defining full-stack architecture, writing clean and efficient code in Ruby and Typescript, setting standards for the Engineering team, delivering stories and features, leading pair programming sessions, attending meetings, collaborating with other teams, and contributing to code base improvement.
• The role also involves helping Kin scale and grow its systems and teams by delivering fast, reliable, and scalable applications.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience is required for this role.
• Expert proficiency in front-end methodologies and languages such as Typescript, Lit, and Angular is necessary.
• Experience in building and designing distributed, full-stack solutions is essential.
• Proficiency in architectural planning, design, and documentation is required.
• Ability to articulate the value of technical investments, identify and mitigate technical risks, operate with little guidance, and lead teams through execution is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to simplify complexity, and experience mentoring engineers at all levels are required.
• Comfort in a high-growth startup environment and a willingness to learn and develop continuously are essential for this position.
