Remote Staff Software Engineer, Frontend - Apps

Description:

• The Applications engineering team at StarTree is responsible for developing applications like ThirdEye and Data Manager that provide fast, fresh, and actionable insights from Apache Pinot.
• The team is involved in all phases of the application lifecycle, including ideation, development, and delivery, as well as building an application infrastructure platform for customers.
• The role of Staff Software Engineer, Frontend - Apps involves building responsive and scalable user interfaces for web applications, collaborating with product managers and UX engineers, and formulating REST API contracts with backend engineers.
• Responsibilities include improving the quality and reliability of web applications through testing, participating in technical discussions, proposing technical initiatives, and coordinating cross-team collaborations.
• StarTree's frontend technology stack includes React applications written in TypeScript, along with standard tooling and testing frameworks like webpack, ESLint, Jest, and cypress.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience working with JavaScript and building web apps with React or similar frontend frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in building scalable web apps from start to end.
• Familiarity with React applications written in TypeScript, webpack, ESLint, stylelint, Prettier, Jest, React Testing Library, and cypress is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Past experience in building, deploying, and maintaining large-scale cloud services is desirable.
