Remote Staff Software Engineer (Frontend), Square Staff

Description:

• Square Staff is a suite of labor management, workforce management, payroll, and communications tools designed to help sellers and their teams thrive together.
• The role involves building and expanding the product suite to address team communication and time tracking management needs such as shift scheduling, trading shifts, and approving shifts.
• Responsibilities include ideation, design, and implementation of seller-facing features, improving partner integration infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• The position aims to deliver initiatives, features, and products that have a significant impact on existing and potential customers, providing peace of mind to sellers about their business operations.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience and a BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience building component-based web apps with modern JavaScript front-end frameworks, especially React.
• Experience in building and working with APIs to deliver product features and leading or contributing to medium-to-large feature releases.
• Natural curiosity and a desire to build products that merchants depend on.
