Description:
Zscaler is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join the IT Cloud Engineering team in San Jose, California.
The role involves participating in product development for Federal customers and understanding FedRAMP needs.
Responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams to create secure infrastructure, handling dependencies, and facilitating delivery.
The engineer will engage with customers to obtain requirements, create a product roadmap, and lead the team to deliver on it.
The position requires delivering scalable, highly available, and performant products in AWS or similar cloud environments.
The engineer will design and develop full stack applications and services using AWS and similar technologies.
Understanding DevOps concepts is essential, as the engineer will work with dependent teams to build and support CI/CD pipelines.
The role includes monitoring, triaging, and troubleshooting provisioning and production issues.
The engineer will also handle platform engineering work for OnPrem application stacks, managing and maintaining them with up-to-date versions and patches.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience with government accreditations for Cloud, such as FedRAMP and Impact Level, is required.
Candidates must have at least 8 years of overall experience and programming skills in Python, Java, Java Spring, Java Spring Boot, C/C++, Mongo, NodeJS, Angular, Express, and ReactJS.
A minimum of 3 years in the design and development of RestAPIs, services, and applications using full stack components in AWS or similar clouds is necessary.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in AWS stacks, including EKS, Load Balancer components, Queues, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, Image Repositories, and DevOps processes and tool sets.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Platform Engineering of products like Tosca, UIPath, Workato, or similar, as well as Apache, Nginx, WebLogic, Tomcat, and RDBMS in OnPrem and Cloud environments is required.
A BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science is mandatory.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role.
