Description:

  • AffiniPay, a leading fintech company based in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Full Stack Staff Software Engineer to contribute to building new products and enhancing capabilities for users.
  • The selected candidate will work on the Smart Spend product, impacting a diverse customer base from individual entrepreneurs to established enterprises.
  • Responsibilities include leading technical decisions, designing scalable applications in microservice architecture, mentoring other engineers, collaborating with product managers and UX, supporting software deployments, and staying updated on industry trends.
  • The role involves working with Kubernetes, cloud technologies, JavaScript frameworks, and building fintech solutions.
  • The ideal candidate should have a BS in Computer Science, 7+ years of experience in cloud-based environments, familiarity with LEAN product development and Agile frameworks, and expertise in event-based, microservices architecture.
  • Strong teamwork and documentation skills are essential for this position.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, monitoring, and debugging large-scale solutions in cloud-based environments
  • Experience building and deploying production-grade web applications at scale
  • Familiarity with LEAN product development and Agile frameworks - Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience building robust and resilient applications with event-based, microservices architecture
  • Strong understanding of SOLID design principles and design patterns
  • Strong understanding with SQL, and familiarity with databases such as Postgres or MySql
  • Strong teamwork and documentation skills
