Description:
- AffiniPay, a leading fintech company based in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Full Stack Staff Software Engineer to contribute to building new products and enhancing capabilities for users.
- The selected candidate will work on the Smart Spend product, impacting a diverse customer base from individual entrepreneurs to established enterprises.
- Responsibilities include leading technical decisions, designing scalable applications in microservice architecture, mentoring other engineers, collaborating with product managers and UX, supporting software deployments, and staying updated on industry trends.
- The role involves working with Kubernetes, cloud technologies, JavaScript frameworks, and building fintech solutions.
- The ideal candidate should have a BS in Computer Science, 7+ years of experience in cloud-based environments, familiarity with LEAN product development and Agile frameworks, and expertise in event-based, microservices architecture.
- Strong teamwork and documentation skills are essential for this position.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, monitoring, and debugging large-scale solutions in cloud-based environments
- Experience building and deploying production-grade web applications at scale
- Familiarity with LEAN product development and Agile frameworks - Scrum or Kanban
- Experience building robust and resilient applications with event-based, microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of SOLID design principles and design patterns
- Strong understanding with SQL, and familiarity with databases such as Postgres or MySql
- Strong teamwork and documentation skills
