Description:
The position is for a Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack (Trust & Safety Experiences) and is a remote role based in the United States.
In this role, you will drive the technical strategy for your team, ensuring the successful execution of critical projects with a focus on business impact.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and analytics, to ensure the technical sustainability and risk management of your projects.
As a leader, you will shape the technical solutions and operational processes, foster a culture of ownership, and help mentor and develop talent within your team.
You will lead the design and execution of backend systems using technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
You will drive the development of scalable web applications with declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
You will establish and advocate for technical solutions, operational processes, and high-quality coding standards within your team.
You will ensure operational excellence by implementing monitoring, triage, testing, and alerting systems for your team’s on-call and support efforts.
You will provide mentorship and feedback to team members, leading by example to foster growth and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
You must have 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
You should be proficient in designing and developing backend systems with technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
Experience with declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue is required.
You must have the ability to lead major feature deliveries, system components, and technical execution plans.
You should be comfortable with ambiguity and able to work across both low-level language idioms and large system architectures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with global engineering teams.
