Description:

  • As a Staff Software Engineer in Growth at Sanity.io, you will be a key leader on the team, collaborating with the product trio (PM, designer, engineering) to tackle complex technical challenges and drive product growth.
  • Responsibilities include working on real-time product data pipelines for personalized onboarding experiences, behavior-based in-app communication channels, access sharing, authentication, and optimizing check-out flows with personalized upsell offers.
  • You will be involved in A/B testing, experimentation, user research, and rapid iterations to enhance product growth (acquisition, activation, and monetization).
  • The role involves working with technologies like TypeScript, Next.js, React, Node.js, Go, PostgreSQL, Rudderstack, Amplitude, GrowthBook, BigQuery, and DBT.
  • The team values speed, creativity, and pragmatism, encouraging experimentation and testing of new ideas and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in a high-growth SaaS company, with at least 2 years of experience as a tech lead.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Go, with the ability to work efficiently across the stack.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of understanding context quickly and breaking down complex problems into efficient solutions.
  • Ability to make data-informed decisions based on user research, experimentation, and rapid iterations.
  • Skilled in finding pragmatic solutions that balance quality, speed, and results, prioritizing business impact over perfection.
  • Effective communicator of technical ideas, decisions, and feedback, both in writing and during real-time communication.
