Description:
As a Staff Software Engineer in Growth at Sanity.io, you will be a key leader on the team, collaborating with the product trio (PM, designer, engineering) to tackle complex technical challenges and drive product growth.
Responsibilities include working on real-time product data pipelines for personalized onboarding experiences, behavior-based in-app communication channels, access sharing, authentication, and optimizing check-out flows with personalized upsell offers.
You will be involved in A/B testing, experimentation, user research, and rapid iterations to enhance product growth (acquisition, activation, and monetization).
The role involves working with technologies like TypeScript, Next.js, React, Node.js, Go, PostgreSQL, Rudderstack, Amplitude, GrowthBook, BigQuery, and DBT.
The team values speed, creativity, and pragmatism, encouraging experimentation and testing of new ideas and technologies.
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in a high-growth SaaS company, with at least 2 years of experience as a tech lead.
Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Go, with the ability to work efficiently across the stack.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of understanding context quickly and breaking down complex problems into efficient solutions.
Ability to make data-informed decisions based on user research, experimentation, and rapid iterations.
Skilled in finding pragmatic solutions that balance quality, speed, and results, prioritizing business impact over perfection.
Effective communicator of technical ideas, decisions, and feedback, both in writing and during real-time communication.
