Jobgether is seeking a Staff Software Engineer focused on Identity & Auth to work remotely in Finland.
The role involves leading the development of secure and scalable solutions for identity and access management (IAM) at Mapbox.
Responsibilities include designing robust authentication systems, driving anti-fraud initiatives, and optimizing token security to ensure reliable and secure customer interactions.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a future-proof platform that aligns with the company's growth and continuously improve the IAM ecosystem.
Key accountabilities include leading the design and development of IAM features, collaborating with internal teams to understand requirements, optimizing systems for scalability and security, promoting operational excellence through testing and monitoring, and documenting technical decisions.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience as a software engineer with expertise in identity and authorization technologies, software security, and service abuse prevention.
Proficiency in Web Services, Microservices, Databases, and Anti-Fraud technologies is required, with experience in Node.js, React, SQL, NoSQL, Docker, and AWS considered a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A self-starter approach is essential, with the ability to work autonomously and drive projects to completion in ambiguous environments, while also being a strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
A strong background in software security and big data is required, along with the ability to collaborate with senior technical leaders.
