Description:

  • Cash App is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Identity organization, responsible for creating a customer identity framework to support the company's growth while ensuring high levels of trust.
  • The role involves designing, building, and supporting core systems for managing identity on Cash App, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
  • The position requires creatively solving technical challenges at scale, leveraging industry-leading identity verification technologies, and collaborating with various teams such as Compliance and Legal.
  • The Staff Software Engineer will participate in defining and implementing an expanding roadmap and be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide service support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working on complex systems and delivering quality software.
  • Strong curiosity and ability to build creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience working on systems where data consistency and availability are crucial.
  • Demonstrated technical initiative on previous projects and collaborative work in cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in the full software development life cycle, strong communication skills, and customer empathy.
  • Ability to contribute to the growth of development capabilities by leading, mentoring, and supporting fellow engineers.
