Description:
Cash App is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Identity organization, responsible for creating a customer identity framework to support the company's growth while ensuring high levels of trust.
The role involves designing, building, and supporting core systems for managing identity on Cash App, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
The position requires creatively solving technical challenges at scale, leveraging industry-leading identity verification technologies, and collaborating with various teams such as Compliance and Legal.
The Staff Software Engineer will participate in defining and implementing an expanding roadmap and be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide service support.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of experience working on complex systems and delivering quality software.
Strong curiosity and ability to build creative solutions to complex problems.
Experience working on systems where data consistency and availability are crucial.
Demonstrated technical initiative on previous projects and collaborative work in cross-functional teams.
Expertise in the full software development life cycle, strong communication skills, and customer empathy.
Ability to contribute to the growth of development capabilities by leading, mentoring, and supporting fellow engineers.
