Description:

  • The Staff Software Development Engineer in Test will help build an engineering culture focused on quality across all software feature development teams at Reddit.
  • Responsibilities include developing and evolving test automation frameworks, tools, and services, analyzing production issues, maintaining test infrastructure stability, and participating in issue troubleshooting and resolution.
  • The role involves influencing the engineering organization on various types of testing and driving quality standards.
  • The mission of the Quality Engineering team is to enable quality in all engineering teams at Reddit by providing robust test tools and frameworks.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience as an SDET or Software Engineer for the Android platform.
  • 3+ years of experience in Android development.
  • Experience in designing and building scalable automated test frameworks, tools, and services for testing mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites using technologies like Espresso and/or UIAutomator with Kotlin.
  • Preferred experience in JetPack Compose and unit, snapshot, and end-to-end testing of Android applications.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, QA methodologies for mobile app releases, and communication skills in English.
