StackAdapt is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help lead their growing backend engineering team.
The real-time advertising bidding system handles over 3,000,000 requests per second and stores several terabytes of data every day.
Technologies used include Go, Ruby on Rails, Aerospike, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RocksDB, Redshift, ScyllaDB, GraphQL, and others.
The position is remote and open to candidates located anywhere in North America.
Responsibilities include building first-party and third-party data integration with external data sources, integrating data into StackAdapt’s Customer Data Platform (CDP), architecting scalable low-latency backend systems and data pipelines, providing technical leadership, promoting software development best practices, and rigorously identifying and solving technical challenges.

Requirements:

Adtech or Martech experience is an asset.
Proven track record of building scalable pipelines and services is required.
Experience working with large data in low-latency environments is necessary.
At least 5 years of software development experience in distributed systems, architecting scalable microservices, and data pipelines in a successful high-growth technology company is required.
A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms is essential.
Up-to-date knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks is necessary.
Experience with Go and high-performance databases is a plus.
