  • The Staff Software Engineer will lead the backend engineering team, working on a real-time advertising bidding system that handles over 3,000,000 requests per second and stores several terabytes of data daily.
  • Technologies used include Go, Ruby on Rails, Aerospike, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RocksDB, Redshift, ScyllaDB, and GraphQL.
  • The position is remote and open to candidates located anywhere in North America.
  • Responsibilities include building data integration with external sources, integrating data into StackAdapt’s Customer Data Platform (CDP), architecting scalable backend systems, providing technical leadership, promoting best practices, and solving technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Adtech or Martech experience is an asset.
  • Proven track record of building scalable pipelines and services is required.
  • Experience working with large data in low-latency environments is necessary.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience in distributed systems, architecting scalable microservices, and data pipelines in a high-growth technology company is required.
  • A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms is essential.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience in the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks is necessary.
  • Experience with Go and high-performance databases is a plus.
