The role involves working on the IoT Platform, which connects devices to backend services, ensuring data is ingested in a scalable, secure, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities include presenting a unified management interface for device hardware, ensuring data accuracy, and improving platform availability and responsiveness.
The position reports to the Engineering Manager of the IoT platform team and involves collaboration with experienced engineers to build and refactor services connecting devices to the cloud platform.
Initial projects may include building and scaling messaging pipelines and enhancing the reliability and security of AWS Lambdas and K8s Services.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in developing software products and services within a team environment, utilizing source control, build management, and automated deployment practices.
Mastery of programming practices, preferably in Golang and/or Ruby on Rails, along with strong debugging and problem-solving skills is required.
A deep understanding of cloud architecture and application deployment is essential.
Experience with messaging pipelines, particularly Kafka, is necessary.
A desire to mentor and develop engineers of all levels is expected.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
